We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting Specialist within our Securities Accounting team. This position is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with deep expertise in US GAAP and JGAAP, along with a strong background in financial reporting, variance analysis, and intercompany reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes under both US GAAP and JGAAP.
• Prepare and review financial reconciliations and statements, including Head Office and BHC reporting.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on significant movements in the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support financial analysis and assist in preparing both internal and external reports.
• Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports for management and other stakeholders.
• Participate in system enhancements and business projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, and coordinate with affiliates in Tokyo and New York.
• Maintain general ledger (GL) accounts and prepare weekly balance sheet estimates.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance across all submitted financial materials.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 15 years in accounting or finance, preferably within capital markets.
• Education: CPA preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Accounting Systems: SAP, Hyperion, OneStream, DUCO
• Software: Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Reporting Experience:

• US GAAP (required)
• JGAAP (preferred)

Pay Rate- $68-$70/hour
