Financial and Professional Services Associate @Russell Tobin | Connecting Talent to Companies
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting Specialist within our Securities Accounting team. This position is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with deep expertise in US GAAP and JGAAP, along with a strong background in financial reporting, variance analysis, and intercompany reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly and quarterly close processes under both US GAAP and JGAAP.
- Prepare and review financial reconciliations and statements, including Head Office and BHC reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on significant movements in the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
- Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation and intercompany reconciliations.
- Support financial analysis and assist in preparing both internal and external reports.
- Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports for management and other stakeholders.
- Participate in system enhancements and business projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, and coordinate with affiliates in Tokyo and New York.
- Maintain general ledger (GL) accounts and prepare weekly balance sheet estimates.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across all submitted financial materials.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in accounting or finance, preferably within capital markets.
- Education: CPA preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Accounting Systems: SAP, Hyperion, OneStream, DUCO
- Software: Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Reporting Experience:
- US GAAP (required)
- JGAAP (preferred)
Pay Rate- $68-$70/hour
