Pay Range

Base pay range: $129,000.00/yr - $173,000.00/yr.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable and Time & Billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role manages transactional workflows, reviews entries, resolves escalations, and supports operational reporting needs. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with the Assistant Controller to maintain efficient processes. This position will report to the Director of Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Time & Billing teams.
• Monitor workflow and quality of work; provide feedback and training plans.
• Ensure accuracy of client transactions in the accounting system.
• Improve processes and procedures for better efficiency.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis for AR.
• Manage client payments, refunds, and collections.
• Manage ticketing queue and escalated tickets.
• Post check deposits, initiate ACH transfers, process checks, monitor bank transactions.
• Reconcile Marketing Department deposits, refunds, and credits.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and respond to management requests.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong analytical skills, including gathering information, conducting analyses, presenting findings, and creating solutions.
• Understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Strong organizational and follow‑through skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a fast‑paced and varied workload, managing concurrent priorities.
• Strong computer skills, solid Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, and accounting software systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership and management skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus a minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role, and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience. Prior supervisory experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA license and experience working in a professional services firm.
