Position Overview:

The firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its Irvine or San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in Irvine, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment supporting multiple attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling civil defense matters.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
  • File documents in state and federal courts, including e‑filing.
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and case schedules.
  • Coordinate depositions, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain client files, both electronic and physical, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in Irvine.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Professional demeanor and strong written and verbal communication skills.
