We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead our HR initiatives at our Shreveport, LA plant. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and manage all aspects of human resource programs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Compensation
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
What You’ll Do
- Lead HR Programs: Oversee all plant human resource programs related to employment, diversity recruitment, organizational development, training, employee relations, public relations, and wage and salary administration.
- Manage Labor Relations: Take charge of all plant labor relations activities, including grievance settlement and plant investigations.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Direct recruiting and interviewing activities for all plant disciplines.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee benefit program administration and manage new hire orientation.
- People Development: Lead the WCM People Development Pillar’s employee growth initiatives.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement plant-level HR policies in collaboration with the Plant Manager.
- Succession Planning: Submit an annual Succession Plan to staff critical positions with a promote‑from‑within philosophy when appropriate.
- Labor Management Meetings: Officiate monthly labor management meetings to stay attuned to the plant’s labor relations climate.
- Team Leadership: Provide oversight and direct supervision of the HR/Payroll Coordinator.
Is This Job For You?
- Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, labor relations, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of managerial experience leading a Human Resource department in a fast‑paced, unionized manufacturing environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.
