Job Summary Position Title: Post Doctoral Associate AC – Rains.
Department: CAES-Entomology (CGASU). Employment Type: Employee. FTE: 1.00. Exempt.
Anticipated Start Date: 01/01/2024. Open Until Filled: Yes. Posting Date: 11/15/2023.
Responsibilities
Conduct field and laboratory research on weed management, harvesting cotton, and develop computer algorithms for rover. Study insect pests of peanut and their relationship with Aspergillus mold and aflatoxin.
Work with industry partners to assess research needs, develop and implement novel research that addresses aflatoxin risk reduction, collect and manage data (60% of time).
Analyze and interpret research results, write manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals, write proposals (25% of time).
Teach labs and develop curriculum (10% of time).
Supervision/coordination of hourly workers and/or graduate students (5% of time).
Qualifications
PhD in Entomology, Weed Science, Agricultural Science, or related field.
Driving required.
