Senior Technical Recruiter at Brooksource Release Train Engineer Remote About the Role Our client’s Digital Omnichannel teams are undergoing a major transition to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), with Program Increment (PI) Planning being established across all teams over the next few quarters.

We’re seeking a senior-level Release Train Engineer (RTE) who can go beyond traditional facilitation — someone who’s confident challenging the status quo, driving change, and establishing strong Agile and SAFe practices across the organization.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on, influential leader who can balance structure and flexibility while guiding teams through a SAFe transformation within a Fortune 500‑scale environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning and readiness across 8–9 scrum teams within multiple value streams.

Establish and maintain iteration and PI calendars, ensuring alignment across all delivery teams.

Partner with Product Management, Scrum Masters, and Engineering leaders to ensure visibility, alignment, and capacity planning for two‑week sprints.

Act as a SAFe coach for Scrum Masters and Agile teams — guiding them through PI Planning, Agile ceremonies, and Lean‑Agile principles.

Facilitate Scrum of Scrums, Product Syncs, and cross‑team communication to ensure dependency management and delivery consistency.

Identify, elevate, and resolve impediments; manage risks and dependencies across teams.

Leverage Jira Align (enterprise rollout in progress) and Azure DevOps to track work, delivery health, and team performance.

Foster trust and collaboration among diverse teams and personalities through open, honest communication.

Serve as a change agent — influencing leadership and teams to adopt Lean‑Agile values and practices.

What You Bring

3+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer in a large, complex enterprise.

Proven ability to stand up PI Planning and coach teams through a SAFe transformation.

Strong understanding of SAFe 6.0 principles, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), and Agile coaching.

Experience with Jira Align (or similar tools like Azure DevOps); exposure to a full Jira Align rollout is highly preferred.

Comfortable challenging existing processes and influencing leadership and teams toward improvement.

Excellent communication skills — able to engage with team members and VP‑level stakeholders alike.

Experience working in Fortune 500 or large‑scale enterprise environments preferred.

SAFe RTE or SPC certification strongly preferred.

Industry background is flexible — healthcare experience not required.
