Job Description
What You’ll Do:
Define Vision & Strategy:
Develop and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy for connected devices (e.g., integrated displays, sensors, telematics) and digital solutions (e.g., mobile apps, cloud services) that aligns with the overall company objectives and rider needs.
Market & User Research:
Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis and gather user insights (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to identify unmet needs, pain points and opportunities for innovation within the eBike connected ecosystem.
Requirements Definition:
Translate user needs and business requirements into clear, concise and detailed product specifications and user stories for engineering and design teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Engineering (Hardware & Software): Guide development, answer questions and ensure technical feasibility and quality.
Design (UX/UI): Collaborate on intuitive and delightful user experiences for all digital interfaces.
Marketing & Sales: Partner on go-to-market strategies, product positioning, messaging and sales enablement.
Customer Support: Understand common issues and leverage insights to improve product functionality and user experience.
Business Development: Explore potential partnerships for integrated services or features.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for connected features and digital solutions. Monitor performance, analyze data and iterate on products based on user feedback and usage patterns.
Technology Scouting:
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices in IoT, connectivity, data analytics and digital platforms relevant to the eBike, sporting goods and broader mobility sectors.
Stakeholder Communication:
Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and results to internal stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on connected devices, IoT, mobile applications, and/or digital platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep understanding of the product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
Experience working with hardware-enabled software products is a significant plus.
Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate effectively with engineers.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform product decisions.
Customer-centric approach with a passion for understanding user needs and designing intuitive solutions.
Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Passion for cycling, electric bikes, or sustainable mobility is highly desirable.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience with embedded systems, BLE, GPS, or cellular connectivity.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data analytics tools.
Familiarity with industry standards for connected vehicles or mobility (e.g., telematics).
Experience building and managing developer APIs.
An existing network within the tech, mobility, or cycling industries.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $135,000. Additional benefits include health, dental, vision plans, HSA, flexible spending accounts, 401(K) retirement plan with employer match, wellness programs, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid time off and parental leave.
