Human Resources Generalist Join Aeon

Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist will partner with managers and employees to support performance management, recruitment, onboarding, compensation planning, safety program support, compliance reporting, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is experienced in employee relations, an excellent communicator, and skilled at coaching managers through complex people situations. Strong writing and editing skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Management & Employee Relations – Partner with managers to address employee relations issues, draft and edit performance documentation, conduct investigations, facilitate training sessions, develop engagement surveys, and coordinate the employee performance review process.

Recruitment & Onboarding – Support job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, extend offers, coordinate onboarding, and maintain company‑wide job descriptions.

Compensation & Payroll Support – Assist annual compensation planning, salary benchmarking, prepare compensation reports, and serve as backup for payroll processing.

Safety Program – Partner with managers to implement safety policies, participate in the safety team, identify risks, recommend improvements, and contribute safety communications.

Skills & Qualifications

Five or more recent years of generalist experience, with significant experience in performance management and employee relations.

SHRM-CP or PHR strongly preferred.

Proven ability to coach managers on sensitive employee situations.

Strong writing and editing skills.

Broad HR knowledge – recruitment, onboarding, compensation, compliance, safety programs.

High discretion, poise, tact, diplomacy, and effective communication across cultures.

Proficiency with HRIS, performance management, payroll systems, and MS Office.

Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 10 lbs and reach above shoulder height.

Sit or stand for extended periods with computer use.

Travel independently to Aeon properties.

Compensation & Benefits Annual pay $70,000–$90,000, depending on qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, retirement plan, generous paid time off, and an employee assistance program.

Work Schedule Full‑time Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hybrid – on‑site Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Corporate Office in North Loop, Minneapolis, with on‑site visits to Aeon properties as needed. Candidates must reside in the Twin Cities metro area or plan to relocate.
