Redwood RE Management LLC is a Miami‑based property management company overseeing a growing portfolio of multifamily communities within the workforce housing sector. We share a collaborative office space with Redwood Dev Co, our sister real estate development firm, and operate in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment focused on operational excellence, employee development, and growth. Position Summary
The HR Generalist will serve as the primary point of contact for all Human Resources functions at Redwood RE Management, supporting approximately 20+ employees across property management and corporate operations. This role reports directly to executive leadership and provides end‑to‑end HR support including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management. Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
– Manage full‑cycle recruitment for corporate and property‑level positions, coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and new hire onboarding, and conduct new hire orientations. Employee Relations & Communication
– Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, support managers in addressing employee relations matters, and foster a positive workplace culture. Payroll & Benefits Administration
– Partner with payroll provider (Justworks) to ensure timely payroll processing, maintain employee records and compensation changes, and manage all aspects of benefits planning and open enrollment. Compliance & Policy Management
– Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, update and enforce HR policies and procedures, and support EPLI and insurance reporting processes. Performance Management & Development
– Coordinate performance review cycles, support training initiatives for managers and staff, and maintain organized HR metrics. Cross‑Functional Support
– Collaborate closely with Accounting and Operations teams on workforce planning, coordinate with legal counsel on employment matters, and support Redwood RE Management and its affiliated entities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within property management, real estate, or professional services. PHR or SHRM‑CP certification (preferred). Working knowledge of HR laws and best practices (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, etc.). Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Justworks, ADP, or similar). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive. Compensation & Benefits
