Boston Scientific is hiring an EP Principal Mapping Specialist to join our Cardiology team and launch innovative products in the Electrophysiology (EP) market. The role focuses on providing expert clinical product and technical assistance to physicians, EP Lab Staff, and sales representatives within an assigned geography.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Maintain advanced clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, EP mapping and recording systems, transeptal access technologies, and left atrial appendage occlusion technologies.
Attend procedures in cardiac CV/EP labs of hospital accounts to provide clinical support and development efforts for BSC AF Solutions products, including Rhythmia HDx mapping system, LabSystem Pro recording system, transeptal access products, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, and WATCHMAN LAAC technologies.
Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of AF Solutions products by creating and delivering presentations and demonstrations using slides, transparencies, manuals, and other formats to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments.
Meet with existing and potential customers (physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate and train them on how company products can help them achieve their goals.
Develop relationships with hospital personnel at all levels, including staff, physicians, and administrators, to make new contacts in other departments within hospitals and to identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.
Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
Demonstrate effective change leadership and build strategic partnerships to better the area/organization by leveraging relationships with peers, management, and across AF Solutions organization (Marketing, Training, and Strategic Planning).
Implement and monitor strategies outlined by the quarterly plan of action for the area.
Coordinate territory and other BSC sales management and representatives’ efforts to build strategic partnerships that further area and organizational and business objectives.
Develop relationships with key referring physicians, external fellows, NEPIs, and other key physicians to promote market development and growth.
Train on and maintain knowledge of clinical trial protocols, Clinical Department standard operating procedures, and compliance toward the regulations of worldwide regulatory bodies to meet corporate and departmental objectives.
Manage clinical trial activity within the assigned territory, including completing Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
Educate clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols, clinical process, and investigational products and features.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 6 years of 3D cardiac mapping system experience or minimum of 10 years in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology, or equivalent education and experience.
Must demonstrate a technical aptitude and ability to discuss & explain complex technical product information.
Preferred Qualifications
NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification.
Work experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping/Structural Heart Procedure.
Existing usage of 3D cardiac mapping system.
MS or advanced degree in business or healthcare.
Base Salary:
$80,000 – $120,000 plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan and core/optional benefits.
