Overview This lead role is responsible for training and guiding the other Financial Analyst in the team and managing all current and future financial activities. The team focuses on testing management, legal/contract/NDA negotiation, and financial activities management. Collaboration with teams in the USA, South Korea (HQ), and other countries is integral. Strong discipline and detail orientation are required to ensure accurate data collection and timely financial reporting.

Essential Responsibilities

HQ reimbursement, Budget Analysis and Forecast Trending:

Prepare monthly HQ reimbursement for R&D and GO group with all required documents.

Coordinate between SEA Finance, AP and AGS Beeline team to resolve SAP discrepancies and ensure 100% accurate reimbursement.

Perform monthly budget analysis reports and analyze HQ efficiency Target vs Actuals.

Update forecast trending report for HQ finance.

Respond to urgent payment clarification queries from internal teams.

Maintain forecast vs Actuals variance within 5%.

Translate emails/documents from Korean to English as requested by upper management.

PO/Invoice Verification and Processing:

Process and approve blanket and singular POs for third‑party labs in a timely manner.

Verify final quotes and invoices against test requirements, agreements, SOWs and pricing plans.

Ensure invoices are itemized correctly and reflect correct cost and discounts.

Collaborate with test requestors and project leads on bill accuracy.

Collect and maintain detailed supporting data for invoice verification.

Track PO details to monitor vendor test cost.

Coordinate with HQ RCG and CTIA on PTCRB certification invoices and payments.

Device Cost analysis and Vendor Pricing Update:

Primary contact for third‑party labs billing activities and pricing agreements.

Streamline billing to reduce risk and cycle time.

Gather and analyze cost templates for Verizon projects.

Keep vendor pricing agreements up to date and proportionate to test scopes.

Collect testing cost information ahead of deadline.

Report pricing updates to upper management.

Analyze carrier operating results, compare forecasts to budget.

Support KPMG year‑end R&D Tax Credit preparation.

Assist management with cost and savings analysis, charts, graphs, and reports.

Participate in budget and strategic planning to reduce cost.

Additional Responsibilities

Oversee junior Financial Analyst work: assign, monitor, train, and guide.

Act as backup for junior Analyst when on leave.

Train junior Analyst on all scope aspects.

Perform sample management and distribution in Plano TX office.

Primary contact for managing Spirent tools for MNO use.

Purchase tools, equipment, and renew licenses for testing.

Record and upload information in SEA/HQ systems.

Backup for updating security tracker and handling deliverables to vendors.

Coordinate between HQ and Labs for DHL billing activities.

Create, update, and maintain a master pricing database.

Seek new pricing information for evolving test scope changes.

Calculate and project new testing cost for reporting.

Identify opportunities for variance mitigation to meet budget compliance.

Simulate savings from test scope reductions and provide reports.

Support invoice processing and other work transferred from SEA Accounting.

Work with vendor accounting/finance and Samsung departments to request and justify testing details.

Monitor and mitigate CTIA payment processing and certification.

Develop ongoing relationships and adjust processes with vendor labs.

Review pricing discrepancies and suggest contract amendments.

Hold regular meetings with test requestors to resolve cost and tracking mistakes.

Attend non‑finance meetings with HQ and MNO to translate discussions.

Qualifications

Bilingual in Korean and English

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel Pivot Table and VLookup
