Macdonald & Company is exclusively partnered with a leading industrial and logistics real estate investment platform to hire a Vice President of Investments for their team in Dallas.
About the Role As Vice President of Investments, you will be a key member of the regional team, driving the sourcing and execution of new acquisitions and development opportunities across the Central U.S., with a strong focus on major Texas markets including Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston. This position spans the full investment lifecycle—from deal origination, underwriting, and structuring through due diligence, closing, and post-acquisition execution.
The role blends both qualitative and quantitative responsibilities and will give you direct oversight of assets within the firm’s value-add and development strategies, as well as separate account mandates. You will collaborate closely with an analytical team, development/entitlement specialists, asset managers, and in-house legal and accounting professionals.
The position reports into the Regional Managing Director and will have regular exposure to senior leadership, including the CIO and Investment Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the investment process, including sourcing, financial analysis, deal negotiation, and due diligence oversight
Draft and present investment memoranda for internal approval
Implement business plans and ensure successful integration of acquisitions into the broader portfolio
Maintain active communication with partners, brokers, consultants, and other external stakeholders
Contribute to quarterly asset valuations and portfolio reviews
Support special projects and additional initiatives as needed
Qualifications & Experience
8–10+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, ideally within the industrial or logistics sector
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, or related field
Advanced proficiency with Excel-based financial modeling; Argus Enterprise experience strongly preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated quantitative focus
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Effective negotiator with experience handling complex transaction structures
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
Low-ego, collaborative professional with strong interpersonal skills
