What You’ll Do As An Assistant Controller

• Lead and mentor a team of five accounting staff, overseeing daily workflow, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive, productive culture.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and internal controls, approving vendor payments, collaborating with collections, and maintaining audit readiness.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, monitoring performance against financial plans and providing variance analyses to support data‑driven decision‑making.

What We’re Looking For In An Assistant Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in high-volume accounting environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Previous experience with companies of comparable revenue preferred.
