Chief Financial Officer - Single Family Office

Base pay range $315,000.00/yr - $325,000.00/yr
A prominent Single Family Office is seeking a CFO to take ownership of day-to-day accounting and investment operations. This is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role with direct responsibility for financial reporting, investment accounting, tax coordination, and systems implementation across a diverse portfolio that includes public and private investments, real estate, trusts, and international entities.
Responsibilities
Own all accounting and financial reporting for family entities (individuals, trusts, foundations, investment partnerships)
Track private investment activity: capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and fees
Review fund documents, subscription agreements, and coordinate with external managers
Manage cash flow, bill pay, and investment reconciliations
Assist with tax planning and coordinate with external tax advisors
Implement and manage a new financial reporting/accounting system
Interface with custodians, banks, fund admins, attorneys, and tech vendors
Support estate planning, charitable giving, and trust administration
Qualifications
10+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a family office, investment firm, or fund administration environment
Strong technical accounting skills; CPA preferred
Deep knowledge of investment accounting across private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and public markets
Experience reading and interpreting fund docs and subscription agreements
Exposure to trust and estate structures; international investment experience is a plus
Highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable working in a lean team
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with general ledger/portfolio systems
