Responsibilities : Scrub on all cases. Surgical Cases include; Orthopedic, Total joint replacements (Hips, Shoulder, Knees Ankles etc.), Ortho Spine and Sports Medicine. Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next days cases. Maintaining sterile field during procedures. Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeons needs. Maintaining and updating preference cards.
OR Suites-8 OR Suites, 11 Pre-Op Beds, 10 PACU Bays, 48 Inpatient Beds Approx.200-250+ cases per month
Qualifications : Basic Computer skills required. One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred. Experience in a specialty field preferred. HS Diploma/GED required Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required BLS from the American Heart Association required Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. * A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech required Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Required Skills : Minimum 1 yr of OR experience required Previous OR experience with Ortho/ Sports Medicine cases highly preferred
Pay range and compensation package : Compensation is based on years of experience as a surgical tech. $26.49-$41.45/hr
