We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Commercial Drywall Estimator
to join one of our key clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating
commercial drywall and framing systems , and be proficient with digital takeoff software such as
On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
or similar platforms.
This role requires a sharp eye for detail, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously. Compensation is performance-based and highly competitive - up to
$150,000/year , depending on experience and projects secured.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs and estimates for drywall, framing, and acoustical systems Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop complete bid packages Collaborate with general contractors, architects, and vendors to clarify scope and gather pricing Use
OST (On-Screen Takeoff)
or comparable software to generate precise material and labor estimates Prepare and submit competitive bids on commercial projects in a timely manner Track bids, maintain a pricing database, and follow up on awarded or lost projects Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and job walks as needed Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors post-award to ensure scope alignment
Qualifications:
Minimum
35 years of experience
in commercial drywall estimating Proficient in digital takeoff software ( OST preferred , but similar platforms acceptable) Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, particularly metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, and ceilings Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications with accuracy Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Compensation & Benefits:
