Job T i tle: Multi -Modality Radiologic TechnologistDepart ment: Diagn ostic ImagingReport s To: Imagi ng Supervisor / Radiology ManagerPositi on Summary:The Mu lti-Modality Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing both general radiographic and computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures. This role supports physicians by producing high-quality diagnostic images used in detecting foreign bodies, injuries, and disease. The technologist ensures patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process and serves a diverse patient population across all age groups. Key R e sponsibilities:Perfor m diagnostic radiographic and CT procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.Operat e imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images of various anatomical regions for accurate interpretation.Positi on patients correctly to ensure optimal image quality while prioritizing safety and comfort.Mainta in appropriate documentation in the electronic health record and imaging systems.Collab orate with radiologists and referring providers to clarify exam requests and ensure accurate imaging.Follow radiation safety practices and infection control standards at all times.Mainta in imaging equipment and assist with troubleshooting and routine quality checks.Provid e compassionate care to patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Quali f ications:Gradua te of a two-year Radiologic Technology program accredited by the American Medical Association (AMA).Certif ication by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology and Computed Tomography (CT) required.Curren t certification from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) required.Minimu m of two (2) years experience in general radiology and at least one (1) year in CT preferred.Equiva lent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered, provided all legal and regulatory requirements are met. Skill s and Abilities:Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiographic positioning.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, physicians, and staff.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and image quality.Proficient in operating radiology and CT equipment, PACS, and RIS systems.
