A dynamic real estate company is looking for a driven and experienced Property Manager to take charge of day-to-day operations at an asset in Arlington Heights. This is a full-time leadership role offering a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $115,000, along with performance-based bonus potential. Key Responsibilities of the Property Manager: Supervise and support a diverse onsite operations team, promoting collaboration and accountability Work closely with ownership and senior stakeholders to support long-term goals, capital planning, and strategic initiatives Monitor financial metrics including rent collections, expense controls, and overall budget adherence Prepare monthly operational summaries, tracking performance benchmarks and identifying areas for improvement Drive community engagement through planning and executing resident-focused initiatives and communications Guide prospective renters through the leasing journey, from initial inquiry to successful move-in, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of repairs and building services Conduct regular walkthroughs of the property to identify areas needing maintenance or vendor attention Act as the main liaison for current residents regarding lease terms, payment issues, community concerns, and retention efforts Maintain accurate records of building systems and resident information using property management software to support long-term operations. Oversee staff development, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews Stay up to date on local housing regulations, ensuring the property remains compliant and operates within all legal standards Respond to after-hours building issues as necessary to ensure continuity of service and resident satisfaction
Qualifications of the Property Manager: Minimum of 5 years experience managing large-scale multifamily assets, including new lease-ups Bachelors degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline preferred Strong leadership qualities with a history of building and retaining high-performing teams Must hold an active Illinois real estate broker license or at minimum a leasing agent license Proficient in property management software (Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Excel Confident decision-maker with strong communication skills and a resident-first mindset aligned with ownership goals. Solid understanding of financial performance metrics, budgeting, and forecasting Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance scheduling, and vendor coordination Experience with affordable housing regulations is a plus Willingness to respond to emergencies or urgent matters outside regular business hours
