Akkodis is seeking an

EHS Manager to

oversee environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple sites within a large campus environment. This position ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while driving a strong culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000

Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the EHS team supporting manufacturing, R&D, office, laboratory, and facilities operations across multiple Rochester sites. Design and implement a comprehensive

EHS and sustainability strategy , focusing on risk assessments, mitigation, training, and cultural transformation. Partner with site leadership to identify, assess, and control EHS risks; ensure compliance and proactive communication of safety expectations. Lead and participate in

incident investigations , track corrective actions, and share learnings to prevent recurrence. Maintain site

EHS certifications

(e.g., ISO 14001, OSHA VPP) and ensure continuous compliance with environmental and safety standards. Drive

standardization and efficiency

in programs related to energy management, waste reduction, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. Oversee environmental and safety documentation to demonstrate compliance with all applicable requirements. Manage, coach, and develop EHS professionals to enhance technical expertise and organizational capability. Identify and implement

cost-effective

improvements for EHS and waste management programs. Lead

emergency response and preparedness

efforts, including site drills and training. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required: Bachelors degree in a relevant field. 5+ years of experience in

occupational safety, environmental compliance, and/or industrial hygiene . Ability to work onsite with up to 10% domestic travel.

Preferred: Degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related discipline. Strong knowledge of

OSHA, EPA, and state environmental and safety regulations . Proven ability to evaluate and control EHS risks in complex workplace environments. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in

Microsoft Office

and EHS data tracking/reporting systems. Recognized

EHS certifications

such as ASP, CSP, or CHMM.
