is currently looking for a
Maintenance Lead,
for some of properties in San Fernando Valley area with extensive experience new construction residential/multifamily properties, supervising a team, and taking care of the company asset(s).
The Position As the
Maintenance Lead , you are responsible in overseeing the day-to-day efforts of the maintenance team to meet all the residents/property needs.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and provide direction to the maintenance team Assign, monitor, and evaluate work performance for technicians Oversee unit preparation, repairs, and turns Manage maintenance budget, inventory, and expenses Coordinate with vendors on large-scale repairs and capital projects Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Participate in city, building, lender, and bank inspections Train team members and share knowledge in maintenance procedures Maintain familiarity with property layout and systems (e.g., emergency exits, shut-off valves) Collaborate closely with the property management team to address resident concerns Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as needed Carry out additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications: 35 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in properties with 500+ units 23 years managing a team of 45 maintenance professionals Strong expertise in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, etc. Proficiency in Yardi, Google Suite, and related software Highly organized with strong attention to detail Customer-focused and team-oriented mindset Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently Familiarity with Fair Housing and OSHA regulations preferred
Physical Requirements: Frequent movement around the property, including stairs Regular bending, lifting, reaching, and physical labor Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs. (occasionally), 5 lbs. (frequently) Effective communication with coworkers, vendors, and residents Use of hand and power tools Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Comfortable working in moderate noise environments
