Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Superintendent to lead the on-site construction efforts for ground-up multifamily projects in the Palmdale area. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience (minimum 10 years required) in ground-up multifamily construction, with a strong background in podium and wrap-style projects. This role requires deep knowledge of pre-construction planning, subcontractor coordination, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of ground-up multifamily construction projects from start to finish. Manage daily on-site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects during pre-construction and construction phases. Maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, inspections, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Lead site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in ground-up multifamily construction; 15+ years preferred. Extensive experience with podium and wrap-style multifamily projects. Strong understanding of pre-construction processes, including site logistics and sequencing. Proven ability to manage subcontractors and deliver high-quality work on schedule. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. OSHA certification and familiarity with safety protocols. Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools. Local experience in the Palmdale, CA area preferred.
