Responsibilities: Implement and enforce OSHA and site-specific safety standards for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities on site. Lead, schedule, and oversee MEP subcontractors, managing workflow, manpower, and project documentation to ensure adherence to timelines and specifications. Coordinate and track delivery of materials and equipment with vendors and subcontractors, supporting preconstruction and procurement efforts. Review mechanical and electrical submittals for compliance, and resolve field installation issues promptly to maintain quality control and project alignment. Organize and conduct project meetings for critical MEP activities, ensuring proactive communication and issue resolution with stakeholders. Manage the startup, commissioning, and functional testing of all MEP systems, including third-party commissioning coordination and documentation management. Maintain strong client relationships, providing consistent communication throughout all project phases to ensure satisfaction and transparency.

Must-Have Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical System Construction or equivalent education and experience. Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards, EM 385, and construction regulations. Proven leadership experience in managing and coordinating MEP trade subcontractors on site. Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore) and digital reporting tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to manage teams and foster collaboration. Background in commissioning mechanical and electrical systems. Preconstruction and equipment procurement experience. Willingness to travel; ability to be on site throughout the project lifecycle in Washington, DC, including periodic travel to Charleston, SC.

Nice-to-Have Skills: Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as LEED AP or OSHA 500. Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) platforms. Background in mission critical, hospital, or other specialized construction project environments. Familiarity with government agency contracting requirements and procedures.
