Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical Neuropsychology) The Department of Psychology at Louisiana State University anticipates filling one tenure-track assistant or associate professor position within the Clinical Psychology program effective August 2026. This appointment will be full-time (nine months). The candidate must contribute to graduate training in clinical neuropsychology.

This is an exciting opportunity for a new faculty member to contribute to a doctoral program with a long history of high-quality teaching and research in an area of specialization identified as a priority for growth. The new position will be part of the APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology, which endorses a model with a strong emphasis on clinical research. The candidate is expected to maintain a strong research program with potential for extramural funding in areas related to clinical neuropsychology. The candidate must also contribute to the teaching and service mission of the department, as well as supervise students providing clinical neuropsychological services in their practicum training.

The department houses a psychological clinic which provides a wide array of mental health services that can support clinical research activities, including those related to neuropsychological assessment and intervention. Access to technology to support research in neuropsychology and neuroscience (e.g., EEG/ERP and fMRI) are available in the department and through collaboration with a nearby institution within the LSU System, the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. Many faculty members also maintain active clinical or research partnerships with area hospitals and schools. Further, there are many opportunities for collaboration with other doctoral programs in the department (i.e., APA accredited-School Psychology, Cognitive and Brain Sciences, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology).
