LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for a well-established law firm based in Dallas, TX. This newly created, full-cycle accounting role will support the firm’s growth by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and driving process improvements in a collaborative and professional environment.
In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred), the ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment, along with strong Excel skills and experience in accounting software. This is a Hybrid role and pays 100K-105K+Bonus.
Responsibilities
Manage the full cycle of accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with audit standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Partner with leadership and other departments to align on financial goals, providing accurate reporting and guidance. Support audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation for internal and external auditors. Mentor and review the work of accounting staff, providing training on complex accounting topics. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance data accuracy. Client Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred. 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables) and knowledge of accounting platforms. Experience with Emburse, Concur, Elite 3E, or similar software is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional office setting.
