Water/Wastewater Project Engineer (Mid-Level)

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our Boca Raton, Florida office. The candidate will be involved with a wide range of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects, which can include treatment, pumping, conveyance and transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities:
This position includes leading and delivering municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities planning and design projects.
Task responsibilities will include project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, equipment sizing/selection, preparation of construction documents, and support of construction management/commissioning needs.
Field work and site visits from planning through construction and commissioning will be required.
This position requires experience with project management or the desire to grow into a project management role.
The position will lead to an increasing level of client development and management commensurate with experience, supported by our local office and firm-wide technical resources.
Qualifications:
Experience in planning, design, and construction for water, wastewater and/or stormwater facilities
Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in AutoCAD and ArcGIS preferred.
Experience in project management preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Proficient in English
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Self-starter with attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Minimum educational requirements are a B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
Current PE license and the ability to obtain a P.E. license in Florida within six months of employment (if current PE license is from another state) is required.
