Job Description We are seeking an experienced
Guidewire BillingCenter Technical Lead / Architect
to oversee the design, development, and implementation of BillingCenter solutions in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise across the Guidewire suite—particularly BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, and ClaimCenter—and a proven record of delivering scalable, high‑quality solutions within the cloud environment. This role requires both hands‑on technical proficiency and leadership capability to mentor team members and drive end‑to‑end project success.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, configuration, and integration of Guidewire BillingCenter solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements, design workflows, and deliver optimized system enhancements.
Manage full SDLC activities, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Support and maintain applications using version control tools such as TortoiseSVN or GitHub and deployment tools like Jenkins.
Oversee defect management and project tracking using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Develop and optimize SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting needs.
Work with SOAP and RESTful web services, XML, XSD, plugins, and messaging for seamless integration between systems.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, manage code releases, and ensure adherence to CI/CD best practices.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, scalability, and compliance with organizational standards.
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering excellence and best practices.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Proven experience leading technical teams in the Guidewire BillingCenter domain.
Mandatory experience with PolicyCenter Cloud and deep knowledge of PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter features.
Strong hands‑on experience with Guidewire configuration, integration, and performance tuning.
Expertise in Agile development, CI/CD processes, and release management.
Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Experience in production support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Guidewire BillingCenter applications.
Proficiency with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps) and source control (TortoiseSVN, GitHub).
Familiarity with Insurance Application Architecture (IAA) model and property & casualty insurance business processes.
Preferred Skills
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
Ability to analyze complex problems, debug efficiently, and recommend best practices for system improvements.
Prior experience coaching and mentoring junior developers.
