7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)
Our manufacturing client in Rockford, IL is seeking a detail-oriented HR & Operations Support Specialist to provide administrative, HR, and operational support to the CFO (remote) and on-site leadership team. This role requires strong computer skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple priorities and departments. This is a newly created role that is a fully onsite, direct hire position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Administrative and HR Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to leadership, including generating and publishing reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Gmail
- Handle employee and customer interactions with professionalism and accuracy
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation
- Assist with onboarding of employees (I-9s, tax forms, benefits enrollment, etc.)
- Process termination paperwork with leadership guidance
- Manage and track employee performance reviews
- Coordinate disciplinary documentation and PIPs
- Send annual benefits packages and explain plan options to employees
- Ensure compliance with state employment requirements and laws
- Manage daily online time clock system, resolving issues such as missed punches, and support payroll processing with external vendors
- Collaborate with staffing partners for recruiting and onboarding needs
Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Gmail)
- Strong data entry skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in recordkeeping
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous HR support experience, with knowledge of basic state employment laws
- Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration preferred
