Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine (required) Associate’s Degree (preferred) 2 years in nuclear medicine (highly preferred) ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine (required or upon hire) CNMT – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (required or upon hire) CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (required or upon hire) BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (required, maintained quarterly) Communication, computer, venipuncture skills Responsibilities
Explain procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed, utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS Use multidisciplinary, team oriented actions Check physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures Operate, care for and maintain equipment Exchange and maintenance of film badges within designated time frames Utilize ADKAR and CLAK during times of change Benefits
