They are seeking an experienced and motivated VP of Finance to prepare the company for the next stages of growth into multiple states. Job Summary

The VP of Finance will support leadership in driving long-term growth, managing risk, and making strategic decisions. This role oversees all financial activities, acting as a key strategic partner to the CEO and board. Responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, managing cash flow, overseeing accounting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and communicating financial performance to stakeholders. Responsibilities

Oversee all finance functions, including financial accounting, reporting, tax compliance, investment, and fund accounting Develop and prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly accounting reports, budgets, and forecasts to evaluate performance against goals Perform analyses to assist in financing decisions and manage cash flow Develop internal financial reporting and commentary to provide leadership with timely insights on trends, operational results, and growth drivers Ensure legal compliance across all financial functions, establish and enforce accounting procedures Lead operational metric review processes across business levels Manage and supervise outside accounting and bookkeeping resources as needed Provide modeling and analytical support for strategic growth projects, new product development, long-term contracts, and business initiatives Secure financing, including debt and equity fundraising, project finance, and venture capital Support operational decisions to reduce costs and inform technology-related analyses Oversee journal entries, A/R & A/P, inventory, payroll, and other financial transactions, including follow-up with vendors as needed Manage cash and prepare cash flow forecasting, alert senior management if budgets are exceeded or cash position is compromised Review financial reports for variances, trends, and current financial position Analyze monthly financials and budget variances; prepare monthly variance reports and KPIs Oversee monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts Complete or direct the preparation of all tax filings Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures, ensuring GAAP compliance Maintain fixed asset system and account for acquisitions, transfers, and disposals Oversee cost collection for business activities such as raw materials, labor, inventory, and overhead Estimate new and proposed product costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Project-manage year-end audits with outside accounting firms; serve as primary contact for audits Maintain strong working relationships with senior management, CPAs, legal counsel, banking partners, lenders, and insurance agents Perform other related duties as required and assigned Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA or CMA preferred 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in agricultural, manufacturing, or distribution environments 10+ years in accounting and/or finance roles in a similar capacity Experience with QuickBooks, including implementation and maintenance Knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial accounting Experience securing debt and developing multi-tiered finance strategies for growth Preparation of financial statements for audits, taxes, and reporting Experience in high-growth environments Experience with debt & equity fundraising, venture capital, and equity investments preferred Experience handling federal and state grants and compliance with government finance practices Knowledge of SEC compliance requirements Additional Requirements

Pass all required background checks Comply with all legal and company regulations for the cannabis industry Possess a valid driver’s license Minimum 21 years of age Be on-call and respond to emergency situations for a multi-shift work environment Qualifications

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Ability to work extended hours during busy seasons, including weekends Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Strong leadership, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Maintain worker protection standards and promote a safe work environment Effective time management to balance floor and office responsibilities Competitive salary package and benefits Schedule: 6:30 am – 4:30 pm (Monday–Friday) and additional hours as needed Benefits
