Job Purpose Primarily responsible for overall factory management including activities in production and test areas to meet production goals, quality productivity, cost objectives, plant profitability, asset performance, and business growth. Directly or indirectly manages operations, quality, and engineering. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on tolling and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure efficient operation. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for the assigned areas. The Plant Manager is responsible for the smooth running of operation functions by directly managing functional managers and internal specialists. Works to maximize production and efficiency and to minimize waste. Determines performance goals for employees and ensures employee development through training and performance management. Necessary to plan ahead, be alert and resolve unexpected problems quickly and efficiently. Deals with all departments on a continuous basis. Responsible for P&L performance, employee retention/development and Customer Satisfaction. Nature of Duties / Responsibilities Manages all personnel related activities within each plant, interacting with various levels of management. Assists in the overall strategic direction of the manufacturing departments through the specification and purchase of facility design, capital equipment, process improvement and involvement in the continuous improvement program. Leads management team in the weekly review of performance and setting of strategy to achieve production and revenue targets. Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships through performance that results in the profitable recurring business and provides opportunities for growth into additional new business. Through internal interface and coordination with operations, engineering, program management and staff functions ensures proposals for potential contracts and new business are prepared accurately and completely to achieve a positive match between company’s capabilities and customer requirements, resulting in winning new business that meets the business plan objectives. Provides direction and executes the product/service contract management process resulting in accurate forecasts of new business, competitive pricing, successful customer negotiations, new product introductions and scope identification and recovery. Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long‑range goals and objectives. Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives. Responsible for plant profitability, asset performance, and business growth. Holds primary responsibility for overall Customer Satisfaction. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering/Business. 10‑15 years of progressive managerial experience in contract manufacturing, preferably as operations manager, finance, business unit manager or manufacturing engineering background. “Hands‑on” type manager with solid experience and knowledge of MRP system, NPI, Repair, Logistics and capacity planning. Proven communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. General computer skills, strong organization, and time management skills. Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Salary Range (annual)
– $150,000 – $160,000 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate’s relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
