Summary/objective The Regional Director of Revenue Management is responsible for implementing hotel revenue management objectives across their managed portfolio, which encompasses maximizing revenues and profit through rate and inventory management of all market segments at the hotel. The Regional Director of Revenue Management will take an active role in the hotel's pricing and distribution of inventory across various channels of distribution to maximize revenues. The position supports their portfolio in meetings, analyzing trends in the group and transient segments, exceeding budgeted goals and setting group ceilings, target rates in conjunction with the sales team.

Develop, implement, monitor and control rate strategies

Develop action plans to counteract market changes

Update and change restrictions and inventory allotments

Maximize RevPAR by analyzing past trends and future demand forecast to set/adjust sales strategies designed to increase market share, RevPAR growth and optimize the market mix

Generate daily, weekly, monthly revenue management reports

Facilitate weekly revenue strategy meetings

Analyze and optimize distribution channels for the maximum benefit of penetration

Contribute to website content and maintenance of website content

Manage property participation and production through 3rd Party Internet sites and other distribution channels

Monitor all distribution channels to ensure content accuracy, rate parity, and pricing integrity

Develop relationships with vendors and Internet wholesalers to accomplish revenue goals and negotiate placement for hotels

Work closely with the sales and e-commerce department to create eNewsletters, hotel packages, and other marketing-related efforts

Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls

Provide critical analysis of strategies, room's statistics and demand factor

Develop short and long-term top-line rooms revenue hotel forecasts.

Participate and prepare rolling forecast and annual budget for each property

Loads all preferred, consortia and promotional rates in GDS and PMS

Ensure that all rooms statistics reports, including the financial statement, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent

Ensure that all revenue management related systems are maintained

Understand the reservations process including the distribution channels and reservations flow

Attend Weekly Sales Meeting to maintain communication of strategies and need periods

Champion the Revenue Management culture to property level personnel

Active involvement with General Managers' engagement

Demonstrate the ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate associates to sustain high performance and quality levels

Competencies

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel

Demonstrate the ability to lead by example

Ability to work well under pressure

Passion for excellence and exceeding expectations

Self-motivated, and ability to work with little to no supervision

Hilton, Marriott and IHG experience preferred

Physical demands

Long hours sometimes required.

Medium work-exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Ability to sit for long periods at a time.

Travel required

10-15%

Required education and experience

Four-year degree or equivalent experience

Two years of regional revenue management experience - including Marriott, Hilton and IHG Brands

Excellent communication skills including presenting data trends and strategic planning.
