Data Analytics Engineer II – IBM
Join IBM Software and transform customer challenges into industry‑leading AI‑powered, cloud‑native solutions. This role contributes to HashiCorp‑powered offerings now part of IBM, enabling organizations to automate and secure multi‑cloud and hybrid environments.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Own the creation and maintenance of well‑structured data models, dashboards, and reports that enable business stakeholders to drive data‑informed decisions.
Build and maintain reverse ETL workflows to business systems such as Marketo to support marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and track key business metrics tied to adoption, pipeline, revenue, product telemetry, and customer success.
Identify and drive opportunities to make data more consumable and decrease time‑to‑insight for analytics consumers.
Develop documentation, training, and enablement content to ramp users on models and dashboards for self‑serve analysis.
Required Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, business intelligence, data engineering, or a related field.
Strong, clean, performant and scalable SQL skills.
Hands‑on experience with data modeling tools such as DBT and modern data warehouse systems (Snowflake or Redshift).
Experience building intuitive and impactful dashboards in BI tools (Tableau, Sigma, Looker).
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical skills, and ability to synthesize and communicate complex results.
Preferred Technical Experience
Business acumen with 2+ years of experience developing analytics for go‑to‑market functions (Sales, Marketing, etc.).
Knowledge of visualization best practices.
Solid grasp of data modeling and semantic layers.
Location This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Compensation US salary range: $73,300.00 – $169,500.00 (San Jose, CA). Salary commensurate with experience.
