Auditing/Assessments Behavior Based Safety Biohazards Chemical or Lab Safety Data Analysis Electrical safety and NFPA 70E Fire Prevention Industrial Hygiene Laser Safety Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Machine Guarding Process Hazard Assessments Robotics Safety Safety Process Improvement RESPONSIBILITIES
Help develop and implement innovative H&S programs and strategies in the areas of injury illness prevention, hazard communication/chemical management, occupational health programs, safety management systems, process safety and risk management, industrial hygiene assessments, and technical support. Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions. Support clients in improving safety performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments. Participate as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively complete assignments. Spend time onsite with clients throughout Silicon Valley and the Bay Area to help solve their most pressing H&S challenges. Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed expectations. Ensure quality standards on project deliverables and maintain strong collaborative relationships with clients and ERM employees. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related scientific field. 4+ years of relevant experience with exposure to the technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors. Knowledge of California regulations and local, state, and federal EHS regulations. Experience managing direct reports and/or project staff, scoping and managing project budgets and expenses (highly preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the San Francisco Bay Area and occasionally outside the local area. Position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. PREFERRED
Master’s degree or equivalent in Environmental, Chemical, Engineering, or related science or engineering field. CSP, CIH, or similar certification/qualification. COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $100,474 – $127,553 USD annually. Annual discretionary bonus based on performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, performance, and business needs. BENEFITS
