About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the development of HBO Max’s Messaging Machine Learning & AI. You will shape the product strategy for the decisioning, orchestration, and Machine Learning layer that selects which message to send, to which customer, through which channel at a global scale. In parallel, you will bring Generative AI into the workflow to create and personalize copy that fits each member, while protecting brand voice, quality, and compliance. You will work closely with ML Engineers, Data Science, Marketing, and Growth Product teams to develop predictive models and turn them into scalable decisioning systems and measurable business outcomes. Responsibilities

Define and own the product strategy for Machine Learning and AI decisioning, partnering with Engineering, Design, Product, and Marketing to drive customers to their next best action. Partner with Data Science and ML Engineers to design and deploy predictive models (e.g., take rate models, contextual bandits) that inform which campaign to send, through what channel and at what time. Translate model outputs into ranking and eligibility policies that integrate with messaging & CRM systems. Define KPIs, set up experiments (A/B tests, Multi-Armed Bandits), and interpret results to assess offer effectiveness and model accuracy. Iterate on models and offer strategies based on experimental results, behavioral insights, and business context. Define product requirements for decision engines, orchestration, and self-serve tools that enable non-technical partners to configure campaigns within guardrails. Partner with Engineering and Data Platform teams to ensure infrastructure is scalable, performant, and adaptable across global markets. Communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and other stakeholders, advocating for the consumer messaging vision & trade-offs. What We’re Looking For

8+ years of product management experience in CRM, growth, monetization, or ML/AI-driven products. Proven track record of partnering with Data Science and Engineering to launch ML-powered features and models at scale. Hands‑on experience with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, multi‑armed bandits, holdouts), especially for CRM and lifecycle communications. Strong product intuition with the ability to balance data, model performance, business goals, and user experience. Ability to write clear end‑to‑end product requirements, from backend offer logic to front‑end presentation and messaging. Comfortable working with backend systems, data infrastructure, and multi‑platform environments (web, mobile, CTV). Outstanding communication skills and deep curiosity about personalization and behavioral science. Familiarity with CRM systems and direct‑to‑consumer streaming subscription products is a plus.
