Job Description Summary
PayPal is seeking a dynamic Product Marketing Manager to lead verticalized product marketing strategy for PayPal Checkout products. In this role you will craft compelling narratives that resonate with key industries, drive adoption and growth across diverse market segments, and collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams to translate PayPal’s value proposition into industry‑specific messaging and go‑to‑market strategies. Essential Responsibilities
Lead cross‑functional teams with design, engineering, and marketing counterparts to deliver product initiatives. Own and manage product roadmaps, prioritization, and discussions with stakeholders. Identify and quantify new opportunities based on market trends, customer needs, and research. Develop go‑to‑market strategies, including positioning, messaging, and value propositions for key products. Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across customer touchpoints. Coordinate product launches and marketing plans with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams. Advocate for customer needs and insights to guide product development and marketing strategies. Monitor competitors and industry trends to refine positioning and messaging. Measure the success of go‑to‑market initiatives and their impact on product adoption and revenue. Ensure legally approved messaging and guidance is developed and maintained across channels. Expected Qualifications
5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Responsibilities
Develop and execute verticalized marketing strategies for PayPal Checkout products, tailoring messaging and value propositions to address the unique needs of priority industries and market segments. Collaborate with sales leadership to identify, prioritize, and develop deep expertise in key verticals, becoming an internal subject matter expert on industry‑specific challenges, trends, and opportunities. Serve as the voice of the customer for targeted verticals by conducting customer interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product development and marketing strategies. Create compelling, industry‑specific content including sales collateral, case studies, white papers, and digital assets that clearly articulate PayPal’s value proposition for each vertical. Partner with product teams to influence roadmap prioritization based on vertical‑specific customer needs and market opportunities. Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute targeted campaigns, events, and programs that resonate with specific industries and drive business results. Analyze performance metrics and market feedback to continuously refine vertical strategies and messaging frameworks. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all customer touchpoints and marketing channels. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in product marketing in the payments, fintech, or SaaS industries. Proven track record of translating complex technical products into clear, compelling value propositions. Strong research and analytical skills with experience gathering customer insights and translating them into actionable marketing strategies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive narratives for different audiences and industries. Experience working directly with sales teams to develop effective enablement tools and strategies that drive business results. Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders without direct authority and navigate complex organizational structures. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Benefits
