Description This is a full time, benefited position as a RN in the PreOp-PACU department in our brand new tower at La Jolla Memorial hospital. It has a varied 12 hour shift with the earliest shift possibly being 0430 and the latest shift could start at 1100. The majority of the shifts will start around 0830‑1100, not the earlier shift time. There is a requirement of 1‑2 call shifts in a schedule period (4 weeks) and we do have a Saturday required shift in a rotation, but it is very minimal.

Responsibilities include Provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications Required

Minimum 1 year RN experience

Current CA RN License

Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association

Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

Strongly preferred - PreOp‑PACU RN experience

ICU or Emergency department RN experience

Flexibility with work environments within the department

Pay Range (USD) 58.00 – 84.00 (California only, with possible geographic differential for out‑of‑state residents)
