Job Title RN Supervisor
Responsibilities As an RN Supervisor, you will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice, and foster a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, you will share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. You will ensure appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement, patient transfer, patient transport, room cleaning, and patient discharge. You will facilitate the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care, including active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and performing direct hand‑off to the next appropriate level of care. You will support the CVICU in its commitment to education and hands‑on training opportunities, guiding nurses from novice to expert in cardiac care through customized training with clinical mentors, educators, and one‑on‑one preceptorships. You will work a combination of charge and administrative shifts.
Qualifications - External
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active California RN license
American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider, BLS and ACLS certifications
Two (2) years of adult acute care ICU RN experience
One (1) year of experience in a leadership role
Excellent skills in communication, problem‑solving, team development, planning and follow‑through
Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care
Preferred Qualifications
BSN – Bachelor's degree in nursing
At least three (3) – five (5) years ICU RN experience highly preferred
Earnings Minimum Rate: $63.50 – Maximum Rate: $91.97 per hour. Benefit Status: Full‑Time with Benefits.
