Job Description
The Intermediate Drafter will support the engineering and development team by producing high‑precision technical drawings for precast wall systems used in secure infrastructure projects. This role involves creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings for panels, columns, foundations, and embedded hardware, translating structural designs into construction‑ready documentation, and maintaining organized drawing sets throughout project phases. The position requires close coordination with engineers, project managers, and QA personnel to ensure accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for precast wall systems, including panels, columns, foundations, and embedded hardware.
Translate structural designs into construction‑ready documentation.
Maintain organized drawing sets throughout project phases.
Coordinate closely with engineers, project managers, and QA personnel to ensure accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
2+ years of drafting experience in structural or precast environments.
Ability to interpret engineering notes and specifications.
Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, and IBC codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Revit, SketchUp, and SolidWorks.
Drafting experience for ballistic or blast‑resistant systems.
Familiarity with concrete construction and embedded components.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Effective communication skills and cross‑discipline collaboration experience.
Work Environment This position is office‑based and full‑time, within the Engineering department, reporting to the Director of Operations and Quality Assurance. Collaboration is required with engineering, QA, manufacturing, and project management teams. You will work in a fast‑paced, engineering‑driven environment where precision and collaboration are key, ideal for drafters who take pride in accuracy and wish to grow within a mission‑focused organization.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire based out of Jupiter, Florida.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
