The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Information Technology (CECH-IT) is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Job Overview

Under general supervision from the Business Administrator, assist in the planning and coordination of administration and/or operational activities of substantial variety and complexity in a unit or department of considerable size and/or diversification.

Essential Functions

Scheduling for the School Director.

Front Desk Support (phones, first point of contact, opening classrooms, mail/package distribution, etc.).

Responsible for School of Education course orders, changes, cancellations, and course evaluations.

Monitoring and distributing course enrollments each semester.

Coordinate the use of facilities and equipment, maintenance requests, IT tickets, etc.

Facilitating purchases for the School (purchasing card, PACE purchase orders, etc.).

Review and approve Concur expense reports and travel requests, as well as provide support for faculty and staff.

Maintaining School of Education website and listservs and distributing emails via listservs.

Serve as liaison for administrator in the interpretation of policies and procedures.

Represent administrator on committees and attend meetings on behalf of administrator.

Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments.

Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives.

Reviewing, monitoring, and reconciling expenditures on supplies, equipment, etc.

Event/Meeting organization, including catering orders, room scheduling, etc.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate travel for guests, and faculty and staff searches.

New Faculty/Staff workspace coordination, including key orders and technology/phone ordering.

Perform other related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education Bachelor’s Degree. Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience One (1) year of relevant work experience.

Preferred Requirements

High competence in Office products, specifically Excel and Word.

Experience with querying and analyzing data, using data systems (e.g., Catalyst and CART).

Strong technology skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Ability to multi‑task.

Strong organizational skills.

Creative problem‑solving skills.

Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Competitive salary range of $46,000 – $48,000 based on experience.
