We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Logistics Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in Chicago, IL. Details for the position are as follows :
Job Description Pay : $22–$23 / hr to start
Duration :
6-month assignment with the possibility of extension based on performance and budget
Schedule :
Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipment processes while supporting internal customers, ensuring full compliance with U.S. Import and Export Regulations and maintaining accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
Apply knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, and customs compliance—including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), classification of commodities (HTS / Schedule B), Proforma Invoice creation, NAFTA Certificates of Origin, and FDA / other agency documentation.
Manage shipment tracking, maintain shipment logs and filing systems, file Shipper’s Export Declarations, audit customs brokerage invoices, assist with logistics coordination, and contribute to SOP development and compliance audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
1+ year of experience with U.S. imports and / or exports is required .
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and formulas, is required .
Familiarity with USHTS and country of origin terminology is required .
Prior auditing experience is required .
Experience working with freight forwarders is preferred.
Experience with SAP and / or Oracle is preferred .
