McNamara Salvia is hiring in our new and growing Denver, CO Office opened in 2020! This is a unique opportunity to work on both local and national projects varying from complex renovations to tall towers across a wide range of market sectors. Applicants will also be directly involved in the growth and creation of culture in the new office.
Role The position of Project Engineer involves structural analysis and design, computer modeling and calculations, client interaction, and collaboration with leading architects, planners, and engineers. You will work in a collaborative team environment on various building projects in a variety of market sectors, managing small to medium-sized projects.
Duties
Engineering, analysis, and design tasks
Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports and correspondence
Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, submittals, RFIs and field observation
Attend internal and external meetings with clients and design team members
Occasional field inspections and investigations
Support of production efforts with Revit modeling tasks
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural engineering or a closely related field (Master's desirable)
EIT and tracking for PE/SE licensure
Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI
Expertise with structural programs including RAM, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE, REVIT
Excellent planning and organizational experience
Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
