A Financial Depository Examiner Supervisor oversees examination teams and manages
Examiner‑In‑Charge
assignments for complex, large financial institutions. The position may work remotely consistent with agency telework policies. Position Duties
Lead examination teams and serve as Examiner‑In‑Charge for state‑chartered institutions. Perform pre‑examination analysis and direct field examinations. Attend joint examinations led by FDIC, Federal Reserve, or OCC. Lead exit meetings with management and boards of directors. Minimum Qualifications
Nine years of experience examining depository financial institutions or related managerial, accounting, or auditing work. One of the following substitutes:
Bachelor’s degree (24 credit hours in business or accounting) plus five years of required experience; minimum six credit hours in accounting or auditing. Certified Public Accountant certification or Master’s degree in business or accounting combined with one year of required experience. U.S. Armed Forces commissioned officer experience in logistics, financial management, or auditing, year‑for‑year for the required experience.
Selective Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate attendance at FDIC, Federal Reserve, or OCC core schools and meet all specific qualifications detailed in the application. Desired or Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial and loan/credit training classes for bank examiners. Experience serving as examiner‑in‑charge of safety and soundness examinations of large, complex banks. Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications
Motor vehicle operator’s license valid in Maryland is required for duties involving vehicle operation. Special Requirements
Some duties may require attendance at advanced formal training classes, including out‑of‑state courses that may require overnight stays. Selection Process
Applications must be complete and submitted by the closing date; late or postmarked applications will not be considered. Successful candidates will be ranked and placed on the employment list for at least one year. Examination Process
