Responsibilities
Research, organize and review client tax documentation
Prepare Individual income tax returns
Maintain compliance with tax regulations
Review federal and state individual income tax returns
Handle federal, state and local tax audits and letters
Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities
Train and supervise staff, review and evaluate their work
Manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals
Skills
Skilled at building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
Excellent communication skills with clients and team
Skilled at delegation to appropriate staff and ability to coach
Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
Strong leadership and personnel management skills
Analytical skills with detail orientation
Ability to find and implement opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures
Qualifications
Current CPA license
8+ years of recent public accounting experience
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax regulations
Knowledge of CCH products is a plus, including Axcess Tax, Axcess Practice, and Prosystem fx Engagement
Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus
