A top-ranked national law firm is seeking a
Docketing & E-Filing Specialist
to join its growing litigation support team. This newly created position is driven by department expansion and offers an opportunity to work closely with attorneys on high-profile matters that span state, federal, and appellate courts — including U.S. Supreme Court filings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has extensive knowledge of court rules and e-filing procedures, and enjoys ensuring accuracy and compliance in all docketing operations. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain litigation calendars across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with court rules and filing deadlines. Handle e-filings for both state and federal courts, primarily Washington, D.C. and California, with exposure to other jurisdictions as needed. Research and interpret local, state, and federal procedural rules; monitor updates to ensure team-wide compliance. Support attorneys and paralegals by preparing, reviewing, and submitting filings; coordinate with court personnel and vendors when necessary. Generate calendar reports, track upcoming deadlines, and assist in managing case milestones. Maintain court admission credentials and troubleshoot e-filing system access. Serve as an internal resource for procedural questions and best practices. Qualifications 5+ years of litigation docketing or court services experience in a law firm setting. 2+ years of hands-on e-filing experience (DC or CA preferred; both a plus). Familiarity with federal and state court systems and online filing platforms such as CM/ECF, PACER, and vendor-based systems. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and docketing tools (e.g., CompuLaw, SmartRules, Westlaw). High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and judgment when liaising with attorneys, staff, and court personnel. Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent years of relevant experience). Seniority level
