Quality Manager
MacLean Power Systems (MPS) is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives at our Stockton, CA plant. The role develops and executes a site‑specific quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives, oversees the integrated management system, supplier quality, continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Strategy, guiding a high‑performing Quality Team through clear role definitions, training, and professional development.
Lead cross‑functional efforts to design, implement, and sustain a resilient Quality Management System that meets ISO 9001 and aligns with customer, regulatory, and industry standards.
Establish and refine internal quality control mechanisms, including measurement systems, metrology frameworks, and plant‑floor inspection processes.
Represent the quality function in plant leadership meetings, shaping strategic planning and operational reviews.
Oversee the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process for customer complaints, using data‑driven root‑cause analysis to drive resolution.
Define, monitor, and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs), supporting continuous improvement across departments.
Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to address quality concerns, strengthen supplier performance, and improve supply‑chain reliability.
Coordinate and lead internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring facility‑wide readiness.
Conduct risk assessments, providing strategic guidance that integrates priorities and actions into broader business strategy through tools such as FMEAs and control plans.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation—inspection procedures, work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams—ensuring consistent training and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a scientific discipline.
5+ years of manufacturing experience with 2+ years leading quality in a manufacturing environment.
Prior experience as a manufacturing or process engineer is preferred.
Deep understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and experience implementing integrated management systems.
Proven root‑cause analysis, CAPA development, and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
Strong technical writing proficiency and capability to draft clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
Experience investigating customer complaints, conducting failure analyses, and preparing detailed technical reports.
Familiarity with ASTM test methods and statistical tools such as control charts and capability studies.
Hands‑on AIAG core tools experience—including FMEA, Control Plans, APQP, SPC, and MSA.
