Quality Manager
to lead the Quality Department at our York, SC plant. What You’ll Do
Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Team, establishing job‑specific requirements and targeted training programs. Guide cross‑functional collaboration, aligning departmental processes with quality standards and best practices. Develop and implement a site‑specific quality strategy that aligns with corporate objectives, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring project deliverables are met. Represent the quality function in strategic planning, operational reviews, and decision‑making forums as a core member of the plant leadership team. Implement and maintain an integrated management system compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, ensuring adherence to customer, regulatory, and industry standards. Oversee the CAPA process, using quality data and trend analysis to identify root causes and drive effective resolution. Define and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs), supporting other departments in developing relevant metrics and mapping process inputs, outputs, and interdependencies. Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to address quality concerns, strengthen supplier performance, and improve overall supply chain reliability. Coordinate and lead internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring facility‑wide readiness and alignment across departments. Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic guidance to leadership and operational teams, integrating priorities and actions into the broader business strategy. Design and implement comprehensive documentation—such as inspection and testing procedures, work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams—while ensuring consistent training and compliance across all operational areas. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a science discipline (preference for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering). 5+ years of manufacturing experience, 2+ years leading Quality in a manufacturing environment. Experience as a manufacturing or process engineer preferred. Deep understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 and practical experience implementing integrated management systems. Strong root‑cause analysis, CAPA development, and data‑driven decision‑making skills. Proficiency in drafting clear, concise quality documentation (procedures, reports, SOPs). Experience investigating customer complaints, conducting failure analyses, and preparing technical reports. Knowledge of ASTM test methods, statistical tools, and AIAG core tools (FMEA, Control Plans, APQP, SPC, MSA). Benefits
