Senior Director Business Development, Divestitures Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Senior Director of Business Development, Divestitures. This role will lead the divestiture strategy, manage cross‑functional teams, and execute transactions across our Established Products portfolio. The position is based in New Jersey (New Brunswick, Raritan, Titusville).

Key Responsibilities

Champion and develop timely divestiture strategies for Established Products brands/assets, partnering with global and regional colleagues and functional partners (finance, legal, supply chain).

Drive end‑to‑end divestiture execution and negotiation, including portfolio management of buyer pools, partner outreach, deal negotiations, due diligence, integration planning, and transition to external parties.

Create and maintain robust portfolio of buyer pools, leveraging technology tools and applications.

Lead partner interactions: initial outreach, deal negotiations, due diligence, integration planning, and execution.

Develop key divestiture documents/materials (confidential information memorandums, deal pitch presentations, internal documents).

Manage virtual data rooms, organize clean‑sheet processes, and resolve risks/challenges to deal execution.

Provide senior leadership updates and conduct cross‑functional divestiture council meetings.

Serve as single point of contact for functional areas on global and regional deals, establishing key partnerships across businesses.

Act as resident expert on externalization processes and provide insights to the broader Business Development team.

Develop robust presentation materials for senior leadership, turning analytics into comprehensive divestiture recommendations.

Lead a team of two direct reports.

Qualifications

BA/BS minimum; MBA preferred but not required.

Minimum 10 years of relevant business experience.

Proven experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

Experience in M&A and/or licensing preferred; divestiture experience preferred.

Strong business analytics, project management, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams and manage complexity within matrix environments.

The anticipated base salary for this role is $173,000–$299,000.
