Outside Sales Executive – Marine Service Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (with travel to marinas and shipyards and out of state as required)

Our clientele includes yacht owners, captains, and management companies who expect precision, professionalism, and a first-class experience. We’re growing fast and are seeking a highly driven Outside Sales Specialist with hands-on knowledge of yacht painting to join our team.
Role Overview The Outside Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving new business development, nurturing client relationships, and generating revenue across yacht refit, painting, and marine service projects. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, the ability to scope and estimate projects accurately, and excellent collaboration with internal project managers and service teams.
You’ll be the bridge between the customer and the yard—ensuring expectations are clear, timelines are realistic, and projects are aligned to our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in yacht refit, paint, services.
Conduct site visits aboard vessels to evaluate scope of work, document conditions, and prepare quotations.
Develop and deliver proposals that clearly outline project scope, estimated costs, and schedules.
Maintain strong relationships with yacht captains, owners, brokers, and management companies to ensure repeat business.
Represent the company at shipyards, trade shows, and industry networking events.
Collaborate closely with project managers, technical supervisors, and craftsmen to align on deliverables and manage client expectations.
Track sales pipeline, maintain CRM records, and report regularly on progress toward revenue targets.
Stay up to date on industry trends, paint technologies and competitors’ service offerings.
Collaboration Requirements
Project Managers:
Work hand-in-hand to hand over signed contracts with clearly defined scope, budgets, and timelines.
Paint Teams:
Ensure project scopes are realistic and technically feasible; communicate client expectations clearly to the shop floor.
Operations & Yard Staff:
Coordinate haul-outs, logistics, and scheduling.
Executive Team:
Provide market intelligence and feedback to refine pricing strategies and service offerings.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in marine service sales, ideally in yacht refit and paint.
Strong technical knowledge of yacht painting processes (surface prep, primers, fairing, Awlgrip/Awlcraft, polishing).
Ability to read drawings, scopes, and understand shipyard workflows.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with high-net-worth clients, captains, and technical staff alike.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a target-oriented sales environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Excel.
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to yachts, shipyards, and marinas throughout South Florida (and occasionally nationwide).
