Seeking a visionary VP of Engineering to lead and scale multidisciplinary hardware engineering teams. You’ll oversee the development of satellite bus platforms, electric propulsion, avionics, and ground control systems, from concept through orbit, ensuring systems are robust, reliable, and scalable for LEO, MEO, and beyond.
Build, lead, and mentor cross‑functional engineering teams (electrical, mechanical, systems, and test)
Own full product lifecycle for satellite and ground systems - from architecture to launch readiness
Partner with product, operations, and executive teams to align technical strategy with commercial milestones
Establish engineering processes that emphasize reliability, fault tolerance, manufacturability, and rapid iteration
Represent engineering in investor discussions, customer briefings, launch provider engagements, and regulatory reviews (FCC, ITU, FAA, etc.)
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
15+ years of experience in hardware engineering
Demonstrated success developing space‑grade systems (e.g., satellite platforms, spacecraft avionics, propulsion subsystems)
Deep knowledge of space systems integration, environmental testing, and mission assurance
Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑engineering stakeholders
