We are currently searching for a qualified and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance department. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing all repair and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities. Your duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of maintenance machinery and equipment, as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills, while overseeing the chlorine and acid filling processes, which requires a strong and diverse technical skill set.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.

Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.

Maintain all machinery to ensure its at working standards.

Create and implement maintenance procedures.

Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.

Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.

Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.

Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.

Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.

Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.

Maintain production chemical manufacturing and product packaging equipment and fixtures to aid production of machined parts

Conduct mechanical and electrical fabrication, assembly, and integration of manufacturing and packaging equipment

Maintain, company maintenance software program as well as inventory of parts

Ensures that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

Responsible for providing coverage in the absence of other Maintenance Technicians.

Be able and willing to work in non-ideal environments such as: confined spaces, working at heights, dusty/dirty and around chemicals.

Understand, practice and enforce safe work practices related to the following: respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous materials, fire protection systems, electrical safety, forklift/hoist operation, welding, cutting, brazing, confined space entry, and PPE

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Certification or proven experience in Facility Management or similar field.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance

Preventive Maintenance: Proven experience in implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

Plumbing and High-Pressure Systems: Skilled in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems, including high-pressure pumps and fluid transfer systems.

Electrical Skills: Strong knowledge of both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including safe troubleshooting and installation practices.

Electronic Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and repair electronic control systems and instrumentation.

Mechanical & Transmission Systems: Understanding of mechanical operations, gearboxes, drive systems, and the ability to perform related repairs.

Conveyor Belt Systems: Skilled in the maintenance, adjustment, and repair of automated conveyor systems used in chemical or industrial environments.

Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.

Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment.

Basic understanding of electrical control systems with ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair basic electrical wiring and control circuits

Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items

Background in chemical manufacturing & liquid packaging is with computer skills

Experience on welding and fabrication.

Hands on experience on preventive maintenance strategies and implementation.

Experience on mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair.

Electrical systems knowledge and expertise.

Experience on Pneumatics, AC systems, and hydraulic equipment maintenance.

Additional helpful skills

Welding: Proficient in various welding techniques for fabrication, repair, and structural support. Ability to perform general carpentry work for facility maintenance and equipment housing.

HVAC Systems: Capable of servicing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
